Don't buy a Tesla
it's built worst than my Lego car. nothing is lined up nicely. big gaps between body panels and interior pieces. System glitches all the time. Had the car for 4 months and been to Tesla for service 4 times. Also, if you don't have tesla warranty, then you don't have a loaner car. gotta get a rental if you need a car.

Big price for tech. phantom breaking is a real thing. car itself is garbage. good range and good acceleration but many other companies are catching up. Price cut is only way Tesla can stay competitive with their poorly built cars and ridiculously horrible customer service.
CONS
Cost to Maintain
350 per hour for labor for any service. 180 to just diagnose anything wrong with the car.
Interior Space
2018 S doesn't have any door storage, back seat pockets, no way to mount a cellphone for rear passenger (my kid).... so far behind on convenience features other car makers have offered for decades.
Value
for the money, it's just extremely underwhelming. I regret my purchase. I should have gone with bmw or mbz. chose Tesla for cool minimalist design and the electric range, but I feel like a dumbA$$ now.

EV is the way to go!
If you don't like an EV, go drive one and you will change your mind. No oil changes, no smog checks, no transmission, fuel system, or cooling system service. Quiet ride with amazing acceleration. Bought the Tesla because of the charging infrastructure, but just about any EV will do the trick so long as you can charge at home. If you think you can't live with an EV because of the range, ask yourself how often you travel over 200 miles in a day. I will never buy another gas powered vehicle.

Wish it had more buttons, but once you get used to everything being on the touchscreen, it works fine.

love car hate the charging
can't take the car on long trips the trip becomes about charging the car and finding working charging stations then about the trip.
