Excellent car

My family bought a 2004 V70 XC used a few years back, with something like 35k miles on it. Full feature list: sunroof, leather, excellent stereo, so on and so forth. We drove it for all kinds of occasions, as it was handsome, spacious, and comfortable. Quite powerful, around 230 horsepower, if I remember correctly, so 'twas real fun darting onto the highway. My only gripe is the really far forward windshield: it sits at such an angle as to limit upward visibility, and the support frame is in a weird position, limiting your view of traffic on your left side. We didn't have it for very long, and probably put on 25k miles, but it required little maintnance for the time we had it. A few weeks ago, I was involved in a pretty serious accident with this car, and totalled it completely. Two other cars hit my XC70, and I was able to crawl out of the wreck with just a scraped knee. Overhead airbags and front driver and passenger side airbags deployed, and almost certainly saved me from pretty serious injury. The front engine compartment crumpled, as it should have to avoid the impact, and the side where I was hit had only a relatively small dent (to protect passengers). By the way, both cars that hit me were going 55+mph. For the purely "SAFE" argument a Volvo V70 XC is a fantastic car; safety notwithstanding, the graceful style of the car, the fun of driving it, and the spacious carrying ability really sold me on this type of car. I'll probably replace the car I lost with another V70 XC.
