Can I buy a car at CarMax with a credit card?
Credit cards cannot be used to purchase a car at CarMax, and we don't accept credit cards for down payments. For purchases made at a CarMax store (including down payments), we accept cash, pin-based debit cards, wire transfers, or personal checks that have funds verified and reflect your correct name and address. Some transactions may be eligible for online ACH from your bank account via a secure online payment portal. All you need is your online banking credentials at a supported bank.
