Very Nice SUV 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

Pros

  • Interior Space

Has a nice amount of room for everyone.

  • Cargo Space

Plenty of room in the back while traveling.

  • Dashboard

Lots and lots of options. Will never use all of them. Lots of bells and whistles.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy

If you run over 75+ the gas milage is bad. If you keep it under 70 the gas milage is good.

  • Cost to Maintain

Using synthetic oil is expensive, but you can go further on it than regular oil.

  • Cargo Space

No spare tire. Get AAA to make sure you can get help with flat tire.

Love this car! 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

Pros

  • Fuel Economy

I used to fill up my SUV every 3 days or so depending. I only fill up my Santa Fe once a week or less!

  • Seat Comfort

I love that the front seats lay all the way down and have foot rests!

  • Power

The car is surprisingly powerful and when it's in Sports Mode, it's like a sports car.

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment

The technology on this car is amazing, cameras everywhere, auto braking so you don't crash or even bump into a car when parking, however the alerts that sound while you are parking in tight spaces can be overwhelming. I live near a major city and parking can be tight, I don't like the warning system beeping at me constantly while I am trying to squeeze into a tight spot.

very good 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

Pros

  • Ride and Handling

I like the driving assist and the seats are comfortable

  • Cabin Noise

    it’s a nice quit ride

  • Power

I like the power of the cruse control function slowing down and speeding up with the flow of traffic

Cons

  • Dashboard

iam not crazy about the front console with little bucket holder under the dashboard

  • Fuel Economy

the miles left on the gas gage does not match the actual gas miles example. it shows I still have 150 miles but the gas tank shows low and it’s asking me to find a gas station .

  • Power

it has power seats, power assist but does not have heated steering wheel. that is something that I miss

Great Service 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

Cons

So far so good. I had to buy a spare. 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

    Pros

    • Braking

She likes it all except the little red warning triangle could be yellow like on our subaru last owned yellow shows up better.

    Cons

elegant 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

      Pros

      • Ride and Handling

love everything about the car except the turbo lag on take off! Style, fit and comfort can’t be beat.

      Cons

Better than Most 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

        Pros

        • Cabin Noise

Quiet ride, no creaks or vibrations, especially when in EV mode. Engine does not drone on the highway.

        • Fuel Economy

I regularly get 48 MPG in mine - which is well over the estimated EPA rating of 31. I also run 93 no ethanol only, and use AMSOIL hybrid oil and change it every 3500 miles. No special treatment on the road, it’s driven like a regular car. I pay no attention to how efficiently I drive when I drive, although I regularly use cruise and pass assertively. I don’t bog the engine on hills.

        • Technology and Entertainment

The screen can be turned off easily and the UI is fast and simple. Bluetooth works flawlessly. Wireless charging is a nice touch, but it can generate a significant amount of heat. However, it can be turned off as well.

        Cons

        • Power

The 1.6L is good, but I don’t like I have to select Smart mode every drive cycle. The default is Eco. There is also a delay in power from a dead stop, as if the powertrain is off, like Auto Stop in a gas only vehicle. I prefer no drive modes, just give me the car and let me choose my “mode” by my driving style. The programming I feel is an extra layer between me and the road, which is a thorn in my side.

        • Reliability

Hyundai gonna do that Hyundai thing - had a leaking rear diff two weeks into ownership, at three weeks, a leaking oil filter. It’s a weird filter too, not a spin on, it’s a cartridge. Transmission fluid is a special type only Hyundai sells. Despite how nice it is, it’s still a disposable SUV. 5 years max life, if I had to guess. It’s definitely not meant to keep unless you rebuild it in parts from the ground up, which does not make sense unless you’re in love with the vehicle. I’m not, although it gets great mileage, so for that alone, I’d probably keep it around until the wheels fall off. Granted, I’m particular about severe duty maintenance. Most Hyundai owners are not.

        • Braking

Suspension is too soft on a hard stop. It does brake well otherwise.

So far...so good 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

        Pros

        • Fuel Economy

          Getting great mileage. 35-40.

        • Interior Space

Lots of room for first two rows

        • Cargo Space

Lots of space with the third row down

        Cons

        • Technology and Entertainment

Some of the buttons are a bit hard to hit while you are driving.

        • Interior Space

The third row seats are really hard to get in and out of and tight for adults

        • Cargo Space

          Little space behind third row.
