Summarized by Skye

The 2019 Buick Regal TourX impresses with its spacious interior, ample cargo room, smooth ride, and distinctive styling. While praised for its value and strong road presence, drawbacks include inconsistent technology performance and higher maintenance costs. Fuel economy is decent but may not meet all expectations for long-term commutes.

2019 Buick Regal Tourx
The Last Great 'American' Wagon
Pros

Cargo Space

A wonderful amount of space. Originally designed as the Opel Insignia Touring Wagon in Germany, this car has more space than my wife's small SUV.

Fuel Economy

My wagon got great gas mileage on the highway, usually in the low 30s. In-town driving usually was between 18-20.

Value

My wagon was the Essence trim (the highest level) and came loaded with tech and features for 2019. I highly recommend getting the last great American wagon if you can get your hands on it!
Cons

Cost to Maintain

Being a German care, that means parts are a little harder to come by. GM did "Buick-ify" some of the trim and infotainment, but the actual parts are all at a premium price.

2019 Buick Regal Tourx
no complaints
Pros

Interior Space

more than enough room in the front seats and back. very comfortable ride.

Styling

never had a car that got so much attention. was selling my c-5 corvette, and people coming to look at it kept asking about my TourX.

Value

I find it comparable to a Volvo v60 or v90 for A WHOLE LOT LESS. I think the exterior is even more attractive than either of those.
Cons

Power

not the most get up and go, but at 56 years old, I can’t handle too fast.

Technology and Entertainment

since the latest year model you can get is a 2020, there’s 4+ years of new technology out there. Apple car play makes everything alright though.

Cabin Noise

not the quietest in the Highway, but sufficiently so. overall, I absolutely love the look and feel of the car.
