We had our 2003 Regal LS for about 7 years. The car was very comfortable on long or short trips. Got excellent mileage, especially at highway speeds. Climbs hills (here to Flagstaff or Albuquerque) effortlessly and accelerates nicely going uphill, if you get stuck behind a slow moving truck or car who is "trying to pass" and finally gets out of the way. Ours had cloth seats, which are very comfortable and serviceable in hot desert summers or cold (Flagstaff) winters. The 3.8 V-6 is the best engine GM ever made. We had no problems with engine or drive train through over 60,000 miles and only minor problems with power windows while we had the car.
Not your grandpa's buick

The Buick Regal GS is a great value for the money. Way sportier than most people would give it credit. You will shock many car owners (including 5.0 Mustang GTs). Recommend a used GS for a young adult looking to buy their first car. Very reliable (mine has 147,000 miles and still going strong) and the supercharged engine makes it a joy to drive. Turn traction control off and you will light up the front tires. Even though
it will go 0-60 in 6.7 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 14 seconds stock it's 4 door body will fly under most cop's attention. The Insurance is rediculously cheap...think about who usually drives a Buick. Take one for a test drive...you will be surprised! It should be easy to find a babied buick that has yet seen its potential.
