Gas mileage is phenomenal. 400 miles to the tank. I love in Mississippi and most of my traveling in on highways so believe me when I say my Fiat gets great mileage. The inside of the car is spacious enough for 2. It does t feel smal to me though the back seat seems right to me. I owned a truck but the back and fold down seats provide me enough cargo room. It has held 4 camping chairs, a folding table, 2 bags with 3 comforters along with several bags with good and ice. I still had room. The interior detail is a through back to another area, classy but modern. I have had no problem merging with traffics on the interstate. In fact, I find myself going faster than I think so I often use cruise control. It's small but fits my lifestyle!
Pros of the car: it's absolutely adorable, and if I stay under 80mph on a regular basis my gas tank will last up to two weeks. Mine also came with a Beats audio system, aftermarket exhaust and its manual transmission, so it sounds great and it's very fun to drive. Very spacious inside considering the very small size of the car. Cons are that while there is a decent amount of space for what it is, sometimes I need just a little more. It isn't the turbo edition so it's not the fastest car ever but it will go if you make it. Reverse also grinds my gears sometimes if I don't pause long enough when I shift but I've heard this is a very common problem for manual transmission.
This was my first 500 that owned for several months, but replacved because my wife refused to drive a tick shift. It hand like a sports car, but rode like a hay wagon; extremely stiff over bumps, which make me not want to recommend it. The replacement was a 500 Lounge automatic that is comportable and a blast to drive. This was a 2012 modell and had an electrical glitch that shorted the dome light. After prolonged consultation with the mother ship, the dealer determined th the cuplrit was a (superfluous) oil pressure sensor. Since its removal the lights have beenfine. This car is fun and cmfortabkle, but you should have another one for trips.
