I considered other compacts but landed on the Hyundai for its gas mileage, low cost of maintenance, great manufacturer's warranty and modern styling. It has nice amenities for even the basic trim and gets good gas mileage (not as advertised by still superior) for the class. I've done regular maintenance every 3k miles and only had one issue so far that was taken care of by the manufacturer. If you're looking for a commuter vehicle or just a daily driver this is a great vehicle. The space is great for the compact class as well, I play in a band and can move all of my equipment in the backseat/trunk with a passenger very comfortably.

It gets awesome gas mileage and it's super comfortable for car rides. I find it really spacious on the inside, lots of trunk space. I've had a little trouble with the USB port, but usually restarting my phone fixes that. Some people online have complained about cabin noise, but I don't see it being any noisier than any other comparable sedan. It has a very smooth ride. Altogether I've really enjoyed my car so far.

It has plenty of knee room in the back and also when driving as the passenger it has plenty of knee room in the front and back for my granddaughter's dangling feet from her car seat. Not to mention it has a hugh trunk space. Love the interior beige spirally geometric design of the cloth seats and the desert bronze color of the car. Can't even hear the engine -- tried to turn it on twice cuz didn't hear the engine LOL and drives so smooth. Best of all it only had 1087 miles. Yes, people a 2013 with only I repeat 1087 miles. You might as well say it was a new car. Love it!!!

As a long time large truck owner I was reluctant to buy a small car but I needed something better on gas for the commute. It's a nice ride. To my surprise I avg 40 mpg. Stereo is ok seats are ok for maybe up to 2-3 hours of driving and it's actually not a bad looking car for the price. I would buy another one thus far, when the time comes. The cab room is roomy for a sedan and the trunk is large as well.

About the Hyundai Elantra GT

Vehicle Summary

If you like what you see in the Hyundai Elantra sedan but prefer something a little sportier, have you looked at the Hyundai Elantra GT? This four-door hatchback model still offers seating for up to five passengers, but boasts a sleek and compact hatchback design. Behind its rear row on the 2016 model, the Elantra GT has a cavernous 23 cubic-foot-cargo area that can be expanded up to 51 cubic feet with help from the standard split-folding rear seats.

On the Elantra GT's fifth generation (2013-2017), this hatchback is offered in one well-appointed trim level. Through the 2013 model year, a 1.8L four-cylinder engine is standard—but beginning in 2014, a more powerful 2.0L four-cylinder engine offers even zestier performance.

By the sixth-generation Elantra GT (2018-2020), this model is available in two trim configurations: Base and Sport. On Base models, you'll still find a 2.0L four-cylinder engine, but Sport models are decked out with a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder for extra pep behind the wheel. Beginning with the 2019 model year, the Sport trim was renamed the N Line trim but offers the same powertrain and features, so don't be thrown off if you come across both trim names as you shop used GT models.

If you're seeking a spacious hatchback with no shortage of personality, don't miss out on a used Hyundai Elantra GT.

Bang for your buck!

I love the car! It is speedy enough to satisfy my lead foot, but fuel efficient enough to satisfy my wallet. I always feel like I am traveling in style. It has great accessories and options: from the leather interior to the front and back (!) heated seats to the bluetooth enabled touch screen radio system. Great car for a great value!
