I purchased my 2007 Jeep Compass in the last week of September this year. Previously, I had only owned one car: a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. To compare the two would be trying to compare an old shed with a grand mansion. My 2007 Compass does everything I could ever ask for it to do. It has leather interior, seat warmers, a sun roof, 6-CD changer, and plenty of cargo space. Did I mention the U-Connect hands-free blue-tooth system? My 1995 Jeep was nicknamed Jeepers and I was certain this Jeep would become Jeepers the Second. But, instead, it has been given the title of Sexy Beast. It is gorgeous, runs smooth, has four wheel drive if ever an Indiana winter calls for it, and sips gas as though it were vintage wine. This Sexy Beast is a beautiful slate-blue color with duo-tone charcoal and light gray interior. Would I trade in this Jeep for something classified as a luxury car? Absolutely not! I would classify this Jeep as luxuriously tough. Would I call this Jeep boring? Again, no! The Compass is beyond cool. With the hands-free blue-tooth system incorporated seamlessly into the rear-view mirror and the ability to switch into four wheel drive with a simple flick of the wrist, I couldn't ask for a more exciting and thought-out vehicle! What would I change about this Jeep Compass? I would change nothing. The Sexy Beast is perfect just the way it is.
This car was not my first choice to begin with but after having it for about 4 month I can say I am pretty satisfied. It is great on gas, runs smooth. Its not a super big suv but it is not small either. It is spacey from the inside and looks great from the outside. The price was not bad at all! (If you are looking for a car that runs fast this is definitely not it)
It has a fast jerk like go and then no get up and go. It will not start unless you have it specifically in just the right spot of Park/Drive. I had to have it towed because I could not get the Jeep to start and we all learned why. It's a very generic, no thrills ride.
