Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.6 reviews) I bought the 2008 5.7L Hemi Limited. First, the things that may disappoint you: 1. Models like mine support bluetooth calls, but not music. 2. Throttle Response is slow. 3. You will get about 12mpg city and about 18mpg highway. The reason I bought this particular vehicle: 1. 5.7L V8 power 2. Tows up to 7,000 lbs 3. Comfort and Class 4. Nearly unstoppable (as long as you treat it well) Ask any Wrangler owner and they'll tell you not to buy this vehicle. That's because they're jealous. The 5.7L Hemi engine and super smart all wheel drive can pull a full load. Along a steep highway climb. In heavy rain. With the same confidence that it can cruise around town. And it will make you smile while doing both.

From the keyless entry system for the doors and hatch to the Bluetooth and navigation to the adaptive cruise. It just seems that Jeep thought this process through thoroughly. I continue to find new features that make me say........"How smart was that!" I need an SUV because I travel a lot so I need to haul around a mini household. To top it all off the vehicle is sharp looking!!!

I love It!

About the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Vehicle Summary

A midsize crossover SUV like the Jeep Grand Cherokee offers the rugged utility of a traditional SUV with the sharp handling and maneuverability of a smaller car. Sound like something that's up your alley as you shop for your next vehicle? Be sure to check out some used Jeep Grand Cherokee models for yourself.

Specifically, the Grand Cherokee Laredo trim can be a practical choice if you want some essentials and creature comforts but don't need anything over-the-top. The Laredo has been the Grand Cherokee's base trim for its entire fourth generation of production (2011-2020), debuting in 2011 with a standard 3.6L V6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. By the 2019 model year, all Grand Cherokee Laredos were still outfitted with a 3.6L V6 engine, but with more power output (295 hp vs. 290 hp) and an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission. And while every fourth-generation Grand Cherokee Laredo comes standard with rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive has been optional on every model when sold new.

Inside the Grand Cherokee Laredo, you'll find no shortage of space for up to five passengers, plus a generous 36.3 cubic feet of cargo storage behind the rear row on the 2019 model. Combine all this with standard features like dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, 17-inch alloy wheels, and automatic headlights on every fourth-generation model and it's easy to envision yourself behind the wheel of this capable SUV.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Popular Features

Even as the base trim on the Grand Cherokee, the Laredo has a lot to offer in terms of creature comforts and basic conveniences. If you're looking at an earlier model Laredo, such as the 2013, you'll find standard equipment that includes 17-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, and dual-zone climate control to keep everybody comfortable. A six-speaker sound system is also standard on every 2014 Laredo, letting you crank out your favorite tracks to your heart's content. A leather-wrapped steering wheel is also equipped on every 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo to add a touch of luxury to your driving experience.

Begin looking at later model years of the Grand Cherokee Laredo, such as a used 2018 model, and you'll find an even longer list of standard features. By this year, a sleek seven-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as is Bluetooth® connectivity for easy hands-free calling and audio streaming. A rearview camera with rear parking sensors also provides you with a little more confidence behind the wheel, especially when backing out of tight parking spots in busy areas. Meanwhile, automatic dual-zone climate control makes it easier to keep the cabin a comfortable temperature for all your passengers—and standard keyless entry/ignition lets you lock, unlock, and even start your car without ever taking your keys out of your pocket.

Fun

Very pleased with my purchase. I bought the Overland model with the 5.7L Hemi. It is hard on gas. Don't underestimate that last point. The Jeep is a blast to drive. It's a big solid vehicle that still feels nimble. Leg room in the back seat is an issue for my teenagers but I don't sit back there much so I'm pretty pleased with it ;)

Impressive

We've been really pleased with our new (used) Jeep Grand Cherokee since our purchase 3 months ago. I was leary of all the bells and whistles (just one more thing that can go wrong) but have learned to appreciate the heated/ventilated seats (front and back) with lumbar support, the navigation system, the back-up camera, the voice-controlled radio and blue-tooth, etc. Our first 4 hour road trip was like flying first class - you arrive rested and actually enjoyed the trip. It's an impressive vehicle!

Pleased with my Jeep Grand Cherokee

I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a lot of features and functionality WITHOUT paying for the brand name of a luxury car. We found that the luxury car brands had less options and features, (air conditioned seats, heated seats, Bluetooth connectivity, full sun roof, etc.) at a higher price point. Jeep offered a ton of features at a domestic price with cheaper parts and service. For a great, stylish SUV, do yourself a favor and go with the Grand Cherokee.
