I researched for a long time before buying. The CX-5 is very highly rated by practically every reviewer and website. The particular one I settled on had fairly high mileage, but it also had every possible bell and whistle - loaded.
The engine is not particularly powerful, but is very revvy and willing. The transmission is excellently designed to get the most from the engine, both in MPG and performance.
This crossover corners very well, and is rock solid and confidence inspiring at any speed. It doesn't drive like an SUV at all! It feels and drives more like a well-sorted sports car. It also has tons of room and comfort - unlike any sports car.

The car is comfortable, for 4 large adults. Rides and handles well. Acceleration is good (2.5 liter) and I average between 26 and 28 miles per gallon. Luggage space is sufficient for 4 suitcases.

This car looks great and has a comfortable ride. Plenty of zoom zoom for getting around in traffic. It is a pleasure to own. I don't want to get out of the car when I get to work in the morning!!!
