Cost is great for the reliability
First off the Evo is just an amazing car. The first day I bought mine Ive been in love with it ever since. If you ask anyone who knows about these cars, they will say its a fast car. You have no clue until you actually drive one for yourself. The handling and performance is just remarkable. I let a friend drive my Evo because I was too tired to drive, and as he started flying down back roads I was feeling sick. Once you think that you have gotten use to the cars launch ability sit in the passenger seat and its an even bigger beast. The all wheel drive system is also amazing. I can take an off ramp off of a highway that has a posted speed of 25 at 55. I would not recommend doing that but If one day you are being chased IT CAN be done. I haven't yet had the pleasure of driving it in the snow yet so I cant tell you how that is but in the rain it handles as if the ground was dry. Dirt and gravel its a monster. You have to drive this car to know what Im talking about. For daily driving its not bad. There is a huge trunk to fit groceries and etc. and plenty of room in the back seat for other passengers. The only flaw is the appearance and the stereo system. The Evo VII, VIII, IV are good cars. Although the MR worth the money. The MR has almost 40 more HP and has a sixth gear. It also comes with Bilsitein shocks and 17 inch gunmetal Enikei racing wheels. It also has Xenon headlamps, fog lights and gauges. The is also a vortex generator on the roof and a flap on the spoiler which helps keep he back of the car on the ground. The stereo in the regular Evo is not too bad but could be better. This car is a tuned down race car but it would be better with a little bump from the speakers. Overall the Evo is an amazing car and can satisfy all of your expectations. I would recommend this car to anyone who loves to drive. Excellent choice.
This is the nicest car I have ever owned. Comfy seats, sporty styling and handling, good stereo, peppy engine, and the smoothest transmission (I have the cvt). To be honest I never would've considered this car had it not been for my saleswoman who convinced me to take it for a test drive. When I got behind the wheel I was surprised by the responsive handling and good ride quality. That's something hard to find in a car company's entry level car. For you do it yourselfers out there I've also found this car really easy to work on. It's just a really well engineered car for the price. With the civic and corolla in the same price range it was no question for me, the lancer was the way to go. I've put nearly 2000 miles on my car in the month and a half I've had it and enjoyed every moment of it. Hope this helps someone make a decision or even just consider looking at a lancer!
