I've found out from owning this car <1 year is it is a must to upgrade the rear sway bar for stiffer steering response. Of course this is a subjective matter but definitely worth the $100 or so. Wish Subaru would have done this from the factory. Moonroof would be nice, but I like things simple and would rather not have to deal with a leaky moonroof as I have had past experience with this (not a Subaru, however). The CVT performs great! And this is my first CVT. It pulls from a stop and would hang with any other 4 cylinder cars. Handling around mountainous turns is flawless and I couldn't have asked for more. Excellent safety features and great interior cargo room for my little family of four. Maintenance is easy as the oil filter is on top.
My friends and i went for a off road ride where the army takes thier tanks. My car out wheeled four trucks and a jeep thay day. I pulled a Chevy Z71 out of the same sand pit that i went throu befor they did. The car pulled the truck out and then i beat the jeep going up a vary vary big sand dune. The car sufferd a little dameg but was abel to drive home. At the end of the night i was the only one left with four wheel drive. Nobody could belive it. We still talk about it to this day.
This is my first Suburu, I like the overal styling, comfort is good, acceleration (V6) is awesome & smooth.. car stereo system is "premium" Harmon Kardon which I am comparing to my previous Bose in my Mazda 6 - it is NOT the same and doesn't sound near as good. Speaker placement in Suburu is high on dash and sound does not "surround" driver, even when adjusting fade left/right/center/front/back. This is my biggest complaint. Because vehicle is AWD, it has taken some getting used to when I am turning corners, seems to hesitate & bump some. I also think there might be a problem shifting down when it gets below 30 mph. I was told to take it to a Suburu dealer for this problem.
