Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.606 reviews) I wanted a sedan with a sporty look, but also with sufficient interior space for 4-5 adults. I was also looking at an Accura TL, but that vehicle is everywhere. The redesigned Avalon looks unique and is not everywhere. It has all the "bells and whistles " - some of which I didn't even know existed. For example, the windshield wiper turns on when there is water on the windshield. Toyota has thought about all the little details. The Avalon gets great gas mileage, has a great repair record, drives smooth, and has incredible acceleration. GREAT VEHICLE!

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.546 reviews) I use this car to drive to/from work. My family uses a different one, but the kids like to ride in the Avalon because it goes fast. I don't really like the radio. It is not as "smart" as I would have expected (this is the reason for the 4 star rating). All in all, it has a lot of room, quick, leather interior, and the radio sounds great despite its shortcomings IMO.

It has power to spare, has plenty of options and takes the turns and straights like a charm. I have absolutely no complaints as this was a very good, well thought out purchase. It handles good and plenty of space and leg room. I am 6 feet tall and i have no problems anywhere in this car even in the back seat, which also has reclining seats which is nice. All in all a great buy with plenty of options to grow with and beautiful styling... Just buy it you won't be disappointed

Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.546 reviews) To me it's wonderfully engine wise crafted but we have noticed on a car that only had 51,000 mi on it when we bought it? Should be inside just as maintained. The leather is not that of a great quality on the steering wheel, one of the cup holders broke off, and they didn't provide us with heated leather seats like this model should have had. It's very roomy though I'll give it that!

Hands down this model and year is the best car. A smooth and comfortable (luxurious) ride. In addition, it is a beautiful car. Unfortunately I did not like the models beyond 2012...too small. I get compliments every where I go (most can't believe it is a 2012 model). Found a jewel!

Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.6 reviews) The backseat doesn't fold down, the clock cannot be set to a 24 hour clock (the US is the only country that uses a 12 hour clock), you cannot re-arrange set radio stations nor delete ones you've set, the leather on the seats is a poor quality and just within 4 months I have had to put a seat cover to prevent further deterioration, I had factory installed Remote Start which starts inconsistently...is only set for 10 minutes (I want 20 so the ice would actually melt)....and the car turns off as soon as your hand touches the door handle; I'm told that's a safety feature but I've had remote starts before and unless you have the key fob the car would turn off as soon as you step on the brake to put the car in gear (not THAT'S security!)

Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.6 reviews) This car does everything that it's supposed to do, and it does it very well. It is supremely comfortable, smooth and quiet to drive. It has excellent power off the line and for highway passing, yet still gets commendable fuel economy for a full size car. The back seat is huge and easily accommodates three people, and the trunk is roomy as well. Factor in Toyota reliability and it becomes a great value in the long run.

Reviews for Toyota Avalon

Overall Rating

So Far, So Good!

Luxury for the middle class senior, this car handles exceptionally, and the perks in this model are fun. I could tailor my interior/exterior preferences, mileage, with the extras I wanted online. The ride is stiffer for sure, something that detracts, but I'm pleased so far.

Amazing vehicle at terrific price!

This vehicle is the Avalon Limited and has nearly everything anyone would want in a car. It is loaded with options and has more than sufficient power in its' V-6 engine. It delivers great gas mileage and offers an excellent, comfortable ride. I drive as a part of my profession and have no travel related fatigue even after eight plus hours in the seat per day.

Avalon's Nav System is Inferior

Our 2008 Avalon is an excellent cae and we have been satisfied in every respect except one very notable exception: the navigation system. The user interface of the Avalon is annoying and very hard to use. It takes a good amount of studying to learn how to use it at all. The first indication of this is when you notice that it uses a "joystick" in leiu of a touch screen. The feature comes at an outrageous price and has a design that seems far less advanced than any $200 navigation system one can buy at Radio Shack. My 2008 map CD is out of date and the new updated CD costs $265. The fact that it even uses a CD is disapointing. Most of the modern GPS devices use a small plug-in memory chip that can be updated on-line for about $45. The Toyota system also chooses to play nanny by prohibiting anyone from changing the destination unless the car is at a complete stop.
