First generation Audi Q8
When Audi introduced the Q8 in 2019, it became the new flagship SUV, unseating the larger Q7. With distinct styling and a wide stance, the five-passenger crossover had a sporty, premium look, with an elegant cabin to match. Styling was updated in 2024 with the latest version of the iconic Audi singleframe grille, but the overall look hasn’t wavered since its introduction. While the Q8 has a sleek, coupe-like style, the shape doesn’t detract from the interior space, with plenty of room for front- and rear-seat passengers. The Q8 features a high-tech cabin with a digital gauge cluster and a dual-screen infotainment system, as well as standard Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®.
The Q8 was launched with a single engine option that continues to serve today’s model. Power comes from a mild-hybrid twin-turbo V6 engine teamed with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Audi also offers the more powerful SQ8 and RS Q8, which we cover separately. With Quattro® all-wheel drive and an available adaptive air suspension, the Q8 delivers powerful acceleration and confident handling without taking away from the big Audi’s comfortable ride.
