First generation BMW M8
The BMW M8 was introduced for the 2020 model year as a high-performance version of BMW’s 8 Series line of executive grand-touring cars. Like the rest of the 8 Series, the M8 is available as a two-door or four-door coupe or as a two-door convertible. The 2020-2021 M8 offered an available Competition package with a little more power, and the M8 Competition became the only M8 specification starting in 2022.
Compared to the two-door M8 coupe and convertible, the four-door Gran Coupe is larger in every dimension, creating more interior space, especially in the back seat. This offers the M8 buyer three excellent choices for a traditional coupe, convertible, or essentially a sedan with a fastback coupe profile. Inside, BMW’s latest technology and comfort packages are standard. Certain M-branded performance features such as carbon-ceramic brakes are available.
