The best of two worlds
The 2017 Buick Regal is the ideal go-between within the midsize sedan world. It’s highly sophisticated, while not entirely branching into luxury, making it very appealing if you're looking for something fancy enough but not flashy. This fifth-generation model (2014-2017) had a facelift in 2014 and it’s still riding high on that, looking fresh yet grown up.

5 reasons to buy the 2017 Buick Regal
1. Features for tech-lovers
If you love having plenty of technology features to play with, the 2017 Buick Regal is a solid choice. The standard feature list includes an infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, plus Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® connectivity, satellite radio, dual-zone automatic climate control, voice recognition, and a USB port. A pretty generous list for this midsize car.
2. Optional turbocharged engine
The base 2017 Buick Regal comes with a 182-hp 2.4L four-cylinder engine as standard, which is enough for a lot of drivers and supplies a decent amount of power. However, for quicker acceleration and to ensure sluggishness doesn’t become a problem if you’re driving with a full car, try to seek out the available 259-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder version. Both engines have a six-speed automatic transmission, but the latter will supply more grunt, and can achieve zero-to-60 in 6.6 seconds.
3. Easy-to-use infotainment system
The 2017 Buick Regal comes standard with Buick’s IntelliLink infotainment system. The touchscreen to operate it measures eight inches and the system features Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, as well as voice recognition and satellite radio. Vehicle tech needn’t be fiddly.
4. Exclusive features for the top trim
The top trim of the 2017 Buick Regal – the Regal GS – comes with some very exciting features that aren’t otherwise available. Keep an eye out for this version when shopping for the 2017 Buick Regal; it comes with unique front and rear fascias, making it more recognizable. It also has other exclusive features like two different drive modes, Brembo® front brakes, and front and rear parking sensors. It also comes with body-colored sport rocker panels and an extra large, extra configurable gauge cluster information display.
5. Comfortable for all
The 2017 Buick Regal seats five and has four doors, ensuring each entry for everybody. The seats are comfortable for long drives, especially in the front. Standard headroom in the base trim of the 2017 Buick Regal comes to 38.8 inches, which is pretty generous, and legroom is an impressive 42.1 inches. If you’re fortunate enough to find the GS trim, the front bucket seats in that version are particularly comfortable and plush, keeping you comfortable even with the sport-tuned suspension that trim has.
