The Cadillac Lyriq is a five-seat electric SUV that exudes style and luxury
Debuting as an all-new model for 2023, the Cadillac Lyriq is an electric SUV with seating for five and a maximum EPA-estimated driving range of 312 miles. Range figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new and assume a full battery charge. Range will vary based on things like battery age, vehicle condition and history, driving and charging habits, accessory use, and driving conditions. Battery capacity may decrease with time and use. See fueleconomy.gov for more info. Rear-wheel drive is standard, though the Lyriq can be had with a dual-motor setup and all-wheel drive. Performance is brisk and whisper-quiet, if not quite as rapid as what rivals like the sporty BMW iX and Tesla Model Y can deliver.
Cadillac has tuned the Lyriq to focus more on comfort than outright speed, which should be in line with what many shoppers are looking for in a luxury EV. Standard features are plentiful and include a 33-inch instrument and infotainment display atop the dashboard, wireless smartphone connectivity, five USB ports, ambient LED interior lighting, and the Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance system.

What We Like
Cabin quality: The interior of the Lyriq is nicely appointed and comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless device charging, and ambient lighting.
Tech features: The curved 33-inch instrument display and infotainment screen look modern and are packed with features. It can take some time to get familiar with the controls and menus, however. A 19-speaker AKG audio system is available and is highly recommended for audiophiles.
Good balance of features for the price: The Lyriq comes standard with a number of features its rivals consider optional. Even the standard model is loaded with comfort and driver-assist features, such as blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, lane-keeping assistance, and the Super Cruise hands-free driving-assistance system.
What Needs Improvement
Glitchy technology: A number of customer reviews on Edmunds have noted numerous electric and technical glitches on the 2023 Lyriq. The glitches might be sorted out via software updates, or in subsequent model years, but it is worth keeping tabs on for potential Lyriq owners.
