2016 Ford Flex review

1. Excellent storage capacity 

If you are looking for a vehicle that can fit many suitcases, more than a few pieces of sporting equipment, or as many grocery bags as possible, the 2016 Ford Flex might be a good choice. It comes with a large trunk that offers 20 cu-ft of space, and you can fold the second- and third-row seats for increased capacity. Behind the second row, there is 43.2 cu-ft, with a maximum capacity of 80 cu-ft behind the first row. 

2. Connectivity features 

The 2016 Ford Flex has a wide array of standard features aimed at providing optimal connectivity and entertainment for all passengers. It comes with the Sync® infotainment system, a 4.2-inch screen, Bluetooth® connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system. Voice recognition is also standard, which you can use for making phone calls and controlling the audio system. 

3. Plenty of power for towing 

If you are the adventurous type who enjoys outdoor activities involving heavy sporting equipment or machinery that needs to be hauled along, the 2016 Ford Flex has got you covered there, too. Thanks to the muscular engine, it has a great towing ability and can easily pull things like ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, or a fishing boat. To put it in numbers, it can tow up to an estimated 4,500 lbs with the 3.0L V6 engine when properly equipped.

4. Impressive engine 

All that towing and hauling capacity is thanks, in part, to the 2016 Flex's potent engine. The base engine is a 287-hp 3.0L V6 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. On top of its utilitarian functions, this engine delivers excellent performance overall, including a 6.2-second zero-to-60 mph acceleration time. 

5. Refined and comfortable cabin 

Passenger comfort is a priority in the spacious, three-row 2016 Ford Flex. It can seat up to seven people, in a cabin with standard cloth upholstery and soft-touch materials on various surfaces. What's more, there are amenities such as a power-adjustable driver's seat, cruise control, rear privacy glass, and a leather-wrapped tilt/telescoping steering wheel.
