Ford Transit 250
Ford has a long history of offering practical vans, and the Transit 250 is the automaker's latest for commercial or personal use. The Transit 250 is available as a cargo van or passenger van. There's a basic 3.5-liter V6 engine or the turbocharged EcoBoost® 3.7-liter V6 with more power. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard, with the buyer's choice of rear-wheel drive or the available all-wheel drive. Beyond that, the Transit 250 is fully configurable with different roof heights, box lengths, and seating options ranging from just two all the way up to 15 passengers.

First generation Ford Transit 250
The Transit 250 became available in 2015 with either a non-turbocharged or turbocharged V6 engine, a turbodiesel engine option, a six-speed automatic, and rear-wheel drive. A 2020 refresh updated the gasoline and diesel engines and upgraded the transmission to Ford's 10-speed automatic. Available all-wheel drive was also introduced in 2020, and standard equipment included Ford Co-Pilot360® with parking sensors and lane-keeping assistance, in addition to pre-collision assistance and automatic emergency braking. With the more powerful turbocharged engine, the Transit 250 can tow up to 4,500 pounds of trailer weight and carries a max payload of 3,475 pounds, when properly equipped.
Buyers can also specify a low roof with about 82 inches of height inside, a medium roof with about 100 inches, or a high roof with about 110 inches. Depending on configuration, the Transit 250 offers up to 487.3 cubic feet of cargo volume.
