2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited review

1. Classic good looks 

“Limited” is the term GMC uses when the previous generation vehicle is built alongside the newest version. This happened in 2022, with the Sierra 1500 Limited continuing the previous truck’s attractive blocky look, with a powertrain that had the kinks worked out years prior. GMC continued all of the options for the 2022 Sierra 1500 Limited model, so you can look for the truck with the exact drivetrain combination you want. The turbo 2.7L delivers stout horsepower in the base models, while the available 3.0L inline-six engine uses diesel for big pulling power. It’s a Sierra, so of course it offers available V8 options, with a 5.3L making 355 horsepower, or a 6.2L with 420 hp available in the higher-end trims. The GMC Sierra 1500 Limited has a quiet and insulated ride, easily absorbing bumps in the road. Plush seats with soft-touch surfaces are standard, and you’ll love the all-day comfort provided by available touches like a heated steering wheel. 5. Off-road ready 

The AT4 trim package isn’t flashy or loud, but quietly delivers confident off-road capability. It consists of wheel and suspension upgrades, including all-terrain tires. Standard 4WD has the grip you need for muddy roads, while the two-inch lift gives additional ground clearance. You'll appreciate the skid plates to protect the chassis from rocks and debris and the 360-degree camera that shows where stumps and other dangers could be lurking. GMC says that's enough to tackle 24 inches of water or a brutal 30-degree incline, which is hopefully more than you would ever need.
