First generation Infiniti Q50
The Infiniti Q50 was introduced for the 2014 model year with a 3.7-liter V6 engine and automatic transmission driving the rear wheels, with all-wheel drive as an available option. There were three primary trim levels: Base, Premium, and Sport trim. Additionally, a Q50 hybrid was offered. Even at its launch, the Q50 carried the latest technology such as LED headlights, keyless ignition, and twin touchscreen displays. The Premium and Sport trims included luxury features like heated front seats and a 14-speaker Bose® audio system. The top Sport trim included a sport-tuned suspension, leather upholstery, a distinct driver’s seat, and paddle shifters.
For the 2016 model year, Infiniti changed over to a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as the base engine and a new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine and a new seven-speed automatic for top trims. The 3.0-liter engine was available in two forms, producing 300 horsepower in the standard engine and 400 horsepower in the Red Sport version.
