Lexus UX 250h
Not only was the UX 250h the smallest crossover in the Lexus lineup, but it was also the least expensive model offered by the luxury brand. The UX 250h was available in four trim levels, all of which are available with front- or all-wheel drive. The UX 250h came well-equipped, featuring power front seats with synthetic leather upholstery, a digital gauge cluster, an available 12.3-inch touchscreen display, and Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™. A full suite of advanced driver-assist features was standard, including adaptive cruise control and pedestrian/cyclist detection. All Lexus UX models came as hybrids, and while they weren’t very powerful, they delivered impressive fuel efficiency.

First generation Lexus UX 250h
The UX 250h joined the Lexus lineup in 2019, slotting in below the NX and RX hybrid crossovers with styling similar to those larger siblings. While the cabin may not have been as plush as higher-end Lexus models, the UX 250h had a premium feel with quality fit and finish. Seating was available for five with functional space up front, but taller rear-seat passengers would find limited legroom. It was initially available in three trim levels, but Lexus split the F Sport into F Sport Design and F Sport Handling trims in 2023, with the latter adding adaptive suspension, sport seats, and paddle shifters.
Powering the Lexus UX 250h was a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Power output was adequate for day-to-day driving, but fuel efficiency was the priority. According to the EPA, the UX 250h achieved an estimated 42 mpg combined, with that figure dropping to a still respectable 39 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.
