- The S Touring trim has been discontinued for 2013.
- Mazda3 trims have been upgraded with Smart Key, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Sunshade, and Satellite Radio Ready as standard equipment this year.
- Parking Sensors, Rear View Camera, and Lane Departure Warning features are now available as options on select trims.
- The I Grand Touring trim now comes with Power Seat(s) and Manual Transmission as standard equipment.
- The I Sport trim now comes with Cruise Control as standard equipment.
