5 reasons to buy the 2014 Porsche Boxster
1. New GTS trim
There’s a new trim for the 2014 Porsche Boxster – the GTS – which enjoys a small tweak in terms of power. It gets an upgraded version of the 3.4L engine and produces 330 hp. According to Porsche, this enables it to go from zero-to-60 in 4.7 seconds with the manual transmission.
2. Stunning cabin
The cabin of the 2014 Porsche Boxster is a perfect match for how gorgeous it is on the outside. All the surfaces are high-end with great attention to detail. Plus, the low seats are comfortable and keep you in place around sharp corners – not too snugly, but just enough to ensure you don’t fly all over the cabin when zipping around.
3. Insulated soft top
The soft top of the 2014 Porsche Boxster offers some things other convertibles don’t. For a start, it’s made of a material that minimizes sound, which not only cuts road noise but keeps the cabin nicely insulated. On top of that, it opens and closes at driving speeds of up to 31 mph, which is useful when it starts raining out of nowhere.
4. Adjustable seating
As well as being comfy and supportive, the 2014 Porsche Boxster's seats give you additional options to adjust their shape to your tastes. As standard, they’re power-adjustable, helping you find the right driving position. But it’s worth keeping an eye out for versions that have the available heated and cooled, full leather seats if you want a little more luxury.
5. Three trims
There are two other trims besides the GTS in the 2014 Porsche Boxster lineup. These are the base trim and the S trim; the base trim’s 265 hp 2.7L engine produces 265 hp, and the S trim’s produces 315 hp. The GTS boosts the power slightly to 330 hp, but otherwise, every model is very similar and features performance attributes and luxurious features.
