Second generation Volvo XC60
In the current generation, the Volvo XC60 is a fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive midsize SUV with a plug-in hybrid option. The XC60 provides roomy seating for five passengers in two rows, with functional cargo space behind the second row. The powertrain is Volvo’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a mild hybrid system that uses electricity to augment the gas engine’s power as needed. The XC60 also comes as a plug-in hybrid version. Generally, the XC60 is known for its quiet, comfortable ride, but it also has winter weather and mild off-road capabilities, too. The XC60 will return an EPA-estimated 26 mpg in combined city/highway driving
and can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. The XC60 is available in three trim levels, and its cabin ranges from a premium interior to truly luxurious accommodations. Available heated and ventilated leather front seats, advanced touchscreen infotainment, and multi-zone climate control are all part of the Volvo experience.

First generation Volvo XC60
When the Volvo XC60 was launched for the 2010 model year, it included a choice of six-cylinder engines and an automatic transmission, standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive, and comfortable seating for five. Most of that remained throughout the first generation, though by the end, Volvo had switched to four-cylinder turbocharged engines. 2015 was the biggest year for transitional changes, when the T5 Drive-E turbo four-cylinder and combination turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder T6 Drive-E were joined by a T5 AWD with a turbocharged five-cylinder engine. As always, later model years include more modern features.
