About Audi Convertibles

Vehicle Summary

If you are shopping for an open-air ride loaded with personality and intelligent all-wheel drive, Audi’s lineup of convertibles just might have the car for you. For racing around town and ticking off your to-do list, the compact two-seater Audi TT Roadster gives you a nice selection of luxury features and the fun of a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. There is room for you and three friends in the Audi A5 or Audi S5 Cabriolet, where you pick your hp while enjoying automatic climate control and leather seating. If you are out to set the record at your local track, the supercar Audi R8 Spyder combines 525 hp and mid-engine design with a power ragtop so you can turn some heads while beating the pace. All Audi convertibles are equipped with a power-retracting soft top that tucks out of sight with the touch of a button while the vehicle is moving up to 31 mph.

Q: Which Audi convertible is the fastest?

A: The 2018 Audi R8 Spyder with the 5.2L V10 engine and six-speed manual transmission logged a top track speed of 195 mph, placing it firmly in the supercar market.

Q: Which Audi convertible has the self-deploying rear spoiler?

A: The 2017 Audi TT Roadster features a rear stanchion spoiler that pops into place for improved stability and control when the vehicle travels over 75 mph.

Q: What is the difference between the A5 and S5 Audi convertibles?

A: Both the Audi A5 Cabriolet and the Audi S5 Cabriolet are built on the same chassis and wheelbase, but the S5 has the turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine and eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission instead of the 252-hp four-cylinder engine provided in the 2020 A5.

Amazing Audi

This is one of the sexiest cars on the road. It is build very well, when you close the doors and trunk, it's like closing a vault. The top and be raised and lowered in less then 15 seconds at speeds of 31 mph. I've done this a lot. This is one of the most understated features of this car. Instant convertible, or not, while moving.

- Jon, 2014 Audi A5

Best value in a wagon, too bad They don't make them in the US anymore.

This is the best driving car I have ever owned. I had the 2006 A6 Avant and traded it for this. The 2.0T is so much smoother and shifts so much better. The A6 had a jumpy start unless you squeezed the gas peddle just right and when going up hill it would stay in 2nd too long, sounded like a rocket. The A4 2.0T Quattro is much quieter and smoother to drive. The loss in space is unnoticeable to me, it has plenty of space.
