I never expected to own a BMW. I was going to settle for another regular sedan but a friend told me I deserved to have a “grown up” car. I got the 300i GT without any prior knowledge about what it meant to have a BMW. I just knew they looked good. And it does! It looks good, drives amazing, gets decent gas mileage and turns heads. I take long trips to see family and love going on road trips and this car is perfect. I truly enjoy driving it. It really is the Ultimate Driving Experience.
I would recommend any BMW to anyone who is considering it. Mind you I haven’t had my first service appointment yet and I hear they can be pretty costly so I might amend this review later. But until then this truly is the best car I’ve ever owned.Pros
- Ride and Handling: Great acceleration. I have to be mindful not to go overboard because I can get to 100 mph before I know it. Much different than my old Kia Rio. :)
- Styling: The Gran Turismo was only made a few years so I feel like I have something special. I get lots of looks which is nice but it’s even nicer that it not only looks good but drives great too.
Cons
- Technology and Entertainment: If anyone can figure out how to use the Bluetooth features reliably please let me know because so far it’s hit or miss. I used to think it was just me but I’m finding others have similar issues. Definitely not user friendly. But I can get over that since everything else works well.

Previous car was a BMW wagon, or 'Touring' in Europe. This car has more room in both the back seat and cargo area. It has all of the features, and then some, of the previous car. The overall length is slightly greater, but not by too much.Pros
- Ride and Handling: The car has AWD and handles well. I expected a harsh ride from the 18" Run Flats (Continental) but was pleasantly surprised.
- Cargo Space: Lots of space in the rear, and you can fold down the rear seats by releasing the levers from the hatch area handles.
- Dashboard: Everything you need to know, and a Head Up display on the glass in front of you. You can use the I-drive to customize dozens of features
Cons
- Visibility: Rear window does not offer a great view, but there is a back-up camera and if you adjust the door mirrors correctly, it's liveable.
- Technology and Entertainment: All the stuff on it is great, but you'll need to start with the Quick Guide, then take the time to read the 200+ page manual! (YouTube is a big help!)

The onboard computer controls work inconsistently. The electric mirror controls do not always work. The digital dashboard gauges will not show up with the settings I put in such as displaying the range left in the fuel tank. It used to show as set but for no apparent reason stopped.Pros
- Cabin Noise: It quietly gets from point A to B.
Cons
- Technology and Entertainment: Radio will not store favorites.
- Dashboard: The digital dashboard gauges will not show up with the settings I put in such as displaying the range left in the fuel tank. It used to show as set but for no apparent reason stopped.
- Styling: This is my fault, I suppose. I did not notice how badly the paint was scratched until the next day when I saw it in the bright sunlight. The car is covered in scratches that were repaired with an incorrect color code paint marker. It is terrible.
