Overall great car with an ideal blend of sport and luxury. The engine has a good amount of low-end torque for smooth city driving, quiet at highway speeds. The car handles great. This car is as solid as a rock, as evidenced among other things by that "thump" when one closes the door. Negatives are few. The cabin is a little tight, especially in back. Also the automatic transmission is one of the most dreadful: shifts are abrupt, it holds gears too long, worse gas mileage and is just an overall disaster; if you can drive manual go that way.
Reliable and Fun!
2001 BMW 330BMW for life - San Diego12/08/2009
I have had my 2001 BMW 330Ci for over 6years and I am very satisfied with it.
Performance is what got me hooked when I first drove BMW's. Riding in a BMW just feels good =) You become one with the road.
For the power class it is in, rating at 225hp, this car out performs all. I don't know what BMW did, but you get what you pay for. BMW cars just puts the power to the road alot better than other makes.
Quality wise, I am very satisfied. You just have to take care of the car and the car will take care of you. I have over 80k miles on it and have only done minor repairs.
A comfortable ride

This is a very comfortable car. Just when I thought I had discovered all the seat adjustments, I found some more. The seat has memory locations for each driver. When you unlock the doors with "your" key, the seat and side mirrors automatically adjust to YOUR settings. Very nice. The instruments are easy to work with, and the car handles ok for a sedan. Driving at high speed is very comfortable and quiet. At first I was a little annoyed that I spent so much money on a car, but it didn't take long for me to love this car. The high quality and extra comforts make driving much more comfortable and relaxing.
