This specific year and model car is an exceptional deal. You get more for your money with this car than you could ever expect. It is actually the Opal Cadette (A GM Europe product) with a Buick Regal body and chassis. It has a turbocharged engine that gives superb torque at medium to high RPM, affording excellent passing capability. Fuel mileage is very good for its class and power. Front seat ride is very comfortable and handling is quite good. I bought this car in January of 2015 in Phoenix, AZ, and the next day drove through a blizzard going home to Texas. ABS braking proved itself to be a life saver and worked superbly. Handling on ice and slush, especially on bridges and overpasses, was excellent. Beautifully designed exterior.
It's superb - classy European styling (think it's built on the Opel chassis) smooth firm ride, handles well -- turbo makes for that "there when you need it" oopmh. Nice to see Buick make good cars again. Was a steal with only 13k on it. MPG is higher than what they tell you and on a turbo it's usually lower. One thing I really appreciate is the "non busy" steering wheel -- some of them have so many shiny buttons they rattle your brain. The whole look and feel of the cabin is soothing. Happy Happy Happy with this purchase!
After four months of ownership, I still love this car. I was looking for a daily commuter car that's fun to drive, yet won't have horrible gas mileage. The little turbo engine is surprisingly quick, plus it has a manual transmission (the real kind with three pedals!). The factory suspension setting better than most sedans, but in the "GS" mode, handling is fantastic. I plan to do some auto-cross racing in the spring. I usually don't haul kids, but I can comfortably fit my three kids in the back seat (ages 10, 8, 5) when needed. However, I doubt there would be room for three kids if one was in a car seat.
