Cargo room is fantastic, comfort is exceptional, ride quality is great. It only has 29K miles on it so it's too young to have major issues, but all in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I realize that there are die hard Chevy fans and die hard Ford fans. Prior to my purchase, I drove both and found that the Suburban felt more sturdy than the Expedition EL. All around comfort and drivability felt better with the Suburban. Interior features and layout seemed more elegant in the Chevy. I'm not one for fancy, so the Chevy was exactly what I was looking for. Honestly, the LT trimline is quite attractive inside, considering it's the "middle" trimline. My only complaint is the lack of storage compartments in the rear cargo area. Would be nice to have deep bins or something back there built into the sides. In the end, for what I wanted / needed, the Suburban was perfect. The other models I tested did not feel as well built and sturdy as the Suburban. Might just be me, but I think the Suburban is the better choice.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) I recently purchased a 2009 Suburban LT with low miles. Overall, the car is great. The city gas millage is slightly lower than my previous 2001 Nissan Xterra, but the highway millage is better, even though the suburban is much larger. The interior space is nice;however the ability to move/adjust the rear and third row seats forward/backwards would be nice. It is bit cramped on foot room when hauling all the kids around. As you would expect for a vehicle of this size, backing up can be tricky. I recommend a rear view camera and a backup alarm. The vehicle is a dream to drive on the highway. Very smooth and comfortable for its size and truck like stance. I had many needs and wanted one vehicle that could meet them all and the Suburban was the best choice. I needed room to carry at least 6 people and sometimes more, I needed more cargo space than our minivan, I needed to be able to two up to 8000 pounds, I needed 4WD, and reasonable gas millage.

Love our Sub

We are a family of 8 now, and outgrew our minivan when my daughter was born. We definitely needed a bigger car, not just for the seatbelts but the space for strollers, diaper bags, etc. You name, we needed it (with 5 kids under 5) we needed the space for car seats as well. We shopped for months and eventually ruled out minivans all together. Just no space for our 'stuff'. So we started looking bigger, Suburbans, Yukons, etc. We narrowed down to the Sub because of the huge trunk it offers. We decided we liked the 2007 or better body. It has been a blessing thus far for only having it for a month. I have managed to take it on a weekend road trip, the highway gas using E85 is pretty sufficient. City miles it eats up the gas once you get down to the 1/2 tank. We love the ease of all the electronics and the on star that came with it (we activated it). All of our kids are VERY comfortable with more room in the Sub and seem to be much happier. We are getting ready to take the Sub across country from Florida to California with the whole family and pulling a 31' travel trailer. I don't believe I will be disappointed but always ready to expect the unexpected. So far, excellent purchase for us!!

Great car

Nice ride - a liitle too much tech.

This is my third Suburban. Great vehicles if you have a lot to haul, or a trailer to pull. This one worried me because of all the electronic doo-dads. And it has been a bit of a problem. The tire pressure monitors require a lot of attention. They are flaky and expensive to repair or replace. Already had to replace the power steering pump, and I am not sure about this new one. The vehicle does RIDE great. Very comfortable on long trips. A little less leg room than older models. It also has cute little caps on the lug nuts. Already lost two, and one was missing when I bought the vehicle.
