2005 Trailblazer

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer Will - Baltimore, MD 12/20/2006

I just recently purchased an 05' Trailblazer and am completely satisfied with my purchase. There is a large amount of cargo space if you need all the room. The 4WD and towing package come standard on these vehicle, which always nice amenities to have. The passeger room is very comfortable. The only thing that I am weary about is the gas mileage, with the gas prices today, but I expected so purchasing an SUV. I would totally recommend this vehicle for small families or any others who have uses for all the room.

2005 Chevy Trailblazer

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer JC - Tampa 09/24/2009

Purchased about 6 weeks ago. No mechanical problems to date (knock on wood). I purchased it to tow a 6x10 enclosed trailer and it does it just fine. Vehicle has plenty of power and torque. Fuel economy isnt' the best but I was aware of that going in. Around 14mpg city and 18 highway if I stay below 75mph. Towing the trailer sucks the fuel down. 7mpg if I do more than 75mph and only 10 mpg if I keep it down to 65mph. Minor issues with seating and brake pedal positions. I'm 6 feet tall and can't find a position where I'm able to stretch out my legs and still be able to grip the steering wheel with more than my finger tips. I hate that I have to pick my foot way up from the gas pedal in order to put it on the brake. If the two were at the same height (like most cars) I could just slide my foot to the left instead of picking it up and moving it. Sounds petty but it is the one thing I wish I could change. That and an auxillary port for my iPod would be nice. Otherwise the truck is comfortable, rides nice and handles well for an SUV. There are big blind spots on either side so I highly recommend adding convex mirrors that you can buy for $5 each at any auto store. I only gave it a 3 for appearance because I'm a guy that is migrating from sports cars to my fisrt SUV and I think it looks like a big station wagon. I prefer the looks of the Tahoe more. Overall I like my TB just fine and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable SUV.
