Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.755 reviews) I bought the red car which was not my first choice, but what they had with the amenities and accessories that I wanted. So my husband talked me into it. I love it, the red is a beautiful color the interior is goldish tan and black inside and looks very classy. It's easy to clean also. It's the easiest car to drive I pull it in my garage and plug it in overnight and it's fully charged every morning. I get a full commute 22 miles each way on one full charge. It saves me 75 to 80% of the money I was spending on gasoline.

Great Car

If you live in a home where you can install a charger and you have a fairly normal daily commute, this is an absolutely fantastic car. I'm not a huge fan of Chevy, but it's clear they have put a great deal of work into this vehicle. We owned a 2012 Volt and when it was totaled we bought a 2014. It's slightly better in most areas and we are very happy with it. The only downside is that it defaults to low power charging and the default can't be changed. Not even by the dealer! So if you install a level 2 charger, you will have to go into the menu every time you park to charge and change the charge level. It's infuriating because it didn't work that way on the 2012 model and it doesn't work that way on our Nissan Leaf.

Awesome car, a few minor details to work out

I've just driven my first 2,600 miles on 8 gallons of gas and that's only because the car told me my gas was getting stale and should be used. Just installed solar panels on the house so it should cost almost nothing to run (i haven't taken a long trip yet though). Car handles beautifully, great on curves, solid, smooth, QUIET, sound system is awesome, seats are comfortable. Feels like a luxury car. Really sporty looking. If you buy a 3 year old pre-leased car you can get great deals.

4 months with a Volt

Pros: - Ample charge after plugging into 120 volt overnight. - Smooth ride - Great sound system - "Sport" mode provides sufficient power - Minimal necessary maintenance Cons: - High pitched whine when running on gasoline - Gas engine takes premium fuel - "Park assist" beeps at you when things are too close to both the front and rear, no matter if you're in drive or reverse. - Tight cabin space Other considerations: - There is no spare tire, but rather a puncture repair kit.
