My biggest gripe are with the service centers at Ford dealers. They aren't even subtle about the outrageous costs and estimates. They'll shake your hand, pat you on the shoulder and screw you to the wall without so much as a kiss. I steer clear entirely.

As expected it showed some normal signs of wear but also signs of good maintenance. Put fresh tires and shocks, wash and polished - good to go! I use it to pull my small travel trailer and have put about 15,000 miles on it with out a problem. Gas mileage when towing is 13-15 (@65-75mph more often 13), solo 18-20 (not often 20 though). Happy with this truck.

I only drive 5k miles a year, except for one year when I drove it for about 20k. For a 4x4 truck "Ford" tough, this thing is anything but tough. And I rarely go off road. This truck has been babied for the most part with no rough treatment. Seriously considering getting rid of it for another brand. I used to be a Ford man, but after this truck, I'd have to think long and hard before I buy another Ford product. Very disappointed.

The Ecoboost turbo handles it with ease. Decent everyday mileage for a pickup, 17.5 (with stringent Calif smog equipment). Smooth and quiet ride. Even smoother when towing. Nice features. Only drawback seems to be an occasional hard downshift at very low speeds, like going over speed bumps in parking lots. But it has over 100k miles, so stuff happens. Overall, very happy with it.

The ride is surprisingly smooth and the 5.0L engine has plenty of power to pull through traffic with ease even fully loaded. Braking is just as quick slowing the truck down to a halt without hesitation. The regular cab has more room behind the seats than it appears allowing me to keep a few tool bags back there with room to spare. The long bed gives you as much room as you'll ever need with an extra deep bed. This is by far the best truck for the money period.

After 6 months of ownership it feels like my previous two trucks (Toyota Tundra and Chevy Avalanche) were a better built vehicles. There is a brake recall regarding the master cylinder that is nearly a year old that Ford does not have a fix for yet. It is easy to tell that Ford is only concerned with getting these trucks manufactured as fast as they can to maintain market share without a huge concern for quality.

Seems to still get 17mpg highway when towing a car on a tandem axle trailer which is better than the diesel truck did! Very, very impressed- this is the smaller 2.7 liter ecoboost with 3.31 axle.

Wider wheel base provides stability off road during aggressive turns. The 6.2L engine is plenty of power to get you up to 60...or 80... as quickly as you need to enter the freeway. Interior is unmatched with the two tone leather, hands free functionality, sun roof, sliding rear glass, and more amenities than I need but love having. Very capable off road and an absolute blast to drive. Most miles are highway but the vehicle is very smooth on pavement and surprisingly quiet despite the 35 inch all terrain tire. Very consistent gas mileage averaging about 13+ combined since I bought it.

My brief experience with this truck, before I returned for a refund only, reinforced this concern. The truck, an EcoBoost 3.5L V6 version, was experiencing significant Engine Timing Cover Oil Leak at only around 40k miles. Online searches turned up many others complaining of the same problem. Also, take this for what it's worth but online searches of the EcoBoost 3.5L V6 F150 turned up a lot of complaints of sudden loss of power on highway under acceleration as well which I found to be pretty alarming. I will admit I was impressed with the acceleration but I never did get close to the advertised MPG stated by Ford even when I was driving conservatively.
