Reviews for Ford F150
great truck terrible company
I'd recommend the 2020 F150 with the Ecoboost or 5.0L to anyone at any time. I would not however recommend CarMax Tulsa to anyone even though I've purchased 3 vehicles there. This last outing for them was the worst experi nice I've ever had at any dealership. shipping and advertising cars/trucks of the wrong color. Putting preferred customers on hold for 5 day out appointments only to cater to walk-ins who mayor may not buy. Admitting to damaging vehicles yet offering zero resolution other than deal with it, it's a used car. Correct but if you drive it into your own Car Wash with filthy cleaning scrubs and it scratches the entire truck and then you use terribly trained in-house body guys to "buff" it out and literally burn through the clear coat, paint down to bare metal and then just cover it with flat black paint... you've got some serious issues with your business model.
Pros
- Styling: beautiful truck
- Cabin Noise: quiet going down the road even with 35" Toyo M/T
- Interior Space: roomy enough for my entire family
Cons
- Value: devalued by poor quality make-ready techs and sales person at Tulsa store.
Great truck! Ford hit a home run
This is my second F150 and Ford has hit a home run. The look & ride is fantastic. I have the 2.7 v6 ecoboost & it feels like more power than my 97 v8 plus great gas mileage. The fit & finish is top notch. I know they have had some problems with Sync, but has worked great so far. I have never owned a GM or Dodge pickup to compare to so I don't know about them. But the gains in horsepower, towing, capacity, and MPG from the aluminum body are amazing.
Pros
- Safety:
- Fuel Economy:
- Interior Space:
F150 - poor design (visibility, seat belts, power)
Seatbelt for driver/front passenger are tied to the back doors. So you can't get kids in and out very easily because you have to take your (front seat) seatbelts completely off of yourself just to let a kid jump in. I did not test this (and should have) but nevertheless find it ridiculous that Ford would design a truck like this. It is only useful if you are never in a hurry and never have any passengers or anyone who wants to get in the back seats. Visibility: I wish it was better with regards to the back headrests.
Pros
- Technology and Entertainment: good sound system yada yada
- Dashboard: charges my cellphone wonderfully
- Braking: brakes are brakes are brakes
Cons
- Power: too weak for what I expected
- Cargo Space: seatbelts are awful
