Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) 12 seats, huge cargo space even with all the seats in, plenty of cup holders, allows the kids to be separated so there’s less fighting. we took this on an 8 day road trip and fit everything in the car with 8 people. Tent, sleeping bags, coolers, grill, it all fit. Drivers seats aren’t super comfortable, doesn’t have many “extras”, but if you are looking for something easy to drive that hauls a lot of people, this is perfect. We did have an issue with the “body throttle failure” (basically the car would suddenly have no power while driving) but it’s an issue Ford knows about and Carmax got it taken care of for me with no hassle and at no expense.

With the Transit we were able to widen the horizon for our vacations and weekend trips. In 6 months, we were able to do 2 beach vacations, two weekend trips and a camping excursion. Even regardless of this being our family vehicle, I commute to work everyday in the van. Surprising great of gas mileage, around 16-17gpm. Bad side to it, I have to drive everyone to lunch. Overall recommendation...GREAT! If you are afraid of the size, don't worry...drives like a car and the rear-view camera help with my own fear. Also very easy for the "wifey" to drive.

About the Ford Transit-350

Vehicle Summary

If you’re looking for space and hauling capacity, check out the Ford Transit 350. You can find versions of the Ford F350 designed to carry anywhere from five to fifteen people. That means potentially never having to contact a car rental agency again when you are ready to take a cross-country trip with your friends and family.

Ford Transit 350 Generation (2013-Present)

The first-generation Ford Transit 350 is the fourth iteration of the Ford Transit, which first made an appearance in 1965. Ford made it possible to pick from three different roof heights and lengths to accommodate passengers or other cargo within the vehicle. Buyers can look for versions holding anywhere from eight to 15 passengers.

Engine and Configuration

You can find the Ford Transit 350 in either a van or wagon configuration for model years 2013-2019. Both come standard with a 3.7L V6 engine with twin independent camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) technology meant to optimize engine combustion.

You can give yourself extra hauling capacity by locating a 2013-2019 Ford Transit 350 with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine. Are you looking for an engine with more flexibility and endurance during stop-and-go traffic? Find a 2013-2019 version equipped with a 3.2L Power Stroke I-5 Turbo diesel engine. The addition of quick-start plugs gets you cranked up quickly even in temperatures below -10⁰ F.

Comfort

Do you have friends and family gifted in the height department who groan at the thought of crunching up in the backseat for a long ride? The 2013-2019 Ford Transit 350 comes in three different roof heights, meaning you can look for one with enough space to accommodate taller passengers. You can also look for various seating configurations that best suit your everyday riders.

You can adjust the steering wheel to suit your preference level thanks to the tilting and telescoping steering column that comes standard in every 2013-2019 Ford Transit 350. Transit 350s from the XLT Trim level for 2013-2019 come with rain-sensitive windshield wipers that come on automatically when the first drops hit your windshield, immediately giving you a more unobstructed view of the road.

Backing up under challenging conditions is no problem thanks to the rearview camera that comes standard on Ford Transit 350s from 2016-2019. Some models even provide you with a full-colored view from a higher vantage point.

Why settle for a Micro-Van?

Exceptional value for the money! I have a family of 7 and this van is great for any circumstance.

Pros

  • Safety: Big and bad!
  • Interior Space: Room for 12 and with stuff.
  • Value: Less than any 3-row seat vehicle out there!

Cons

  • Styling: It's a giant van...not a sports car!

Awesome people transporter.

12 seats, huge cargo space even with all the seats in, plenty of cup holders, allows the kids to be separated so there’s less fighting. we took this on an 8 day road trip and fit everything in the car with 8 people.

Pros

  • Value: it’s an expensive car to haul a lot of people
  • Cargo Space: tons of room
  • Power: this big beast has a lot of pick and and go. no issues passing (besides the drivers fear of it)

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: road noise comes through more than I’d like
  • Seat Comfort: seats are not comfortable
  • Technology and Entertainment: besides an ample about of 12V and actual 3 prong plugs, there’s not a lot in the realm of technology or entertainment.

Very happy with this purchase

I've been looking at Transit's for a while. I've rented the 150 cargo version a number of times and really enjoyed the ride and the vehicle's visibility. The regular Transit's have a tremendous amount of space, but the extended version is massive! We'll take out the back row of seats and have lots of space for moving large items. This is a great vehicle. The only negative to me is the lack of a Bluetooth package for hands-free driving. It is ridiculous for any 2015 to not have a factory-installed hands-free driving kit.

Pros

  • Interior Space: It's massive
  • Ride and Handling: Extended versions frequently drive like a truck. The control, steering and traction on this extended version is terrific.
  • Value: $15,000 less than the same version of the Sprinter.
