Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.8 reviews) The C-max Energi is a great car for someone that needs head room and leg room in both the front seat and back. As I run around the Houston area I average around 68 MPG. When doing short runs in my neighborhood I use absolutely no gas. Fully on electric power for around 21 miles. Comfort, a quiet ride (I mean really quiet) and just a fun car to run around in. Storage is limited due to the extra battery in the back cargo area but this has not been a substantial problem. The two back seats let down so I do have plenty of room for what I do.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.8 reviews) My car is a plug in hybrid. Most of my driving is local. I can easily go 4+ months in the summer without going to the gas station. Sometimes I charge 3 times in a day, but usually only once or twice. I estimate that it cost about 25 cents to charge my car, however, I have switched the the Commonwealth Edison Real Rate plan. Sometimes at night when I charge they pay me to charge my car because the prices for electricity have gone negative. Anyway, I enjoy my car, it is very peppy in electric and i like "going green." I do wish there were more "free" charging stations around. The Kohls near my home has a free charging station which i use often. I have driven my car 22,000 miles and 18,000 of those miles have been in electric.

Electric plug in hybrind, great little car.

My car is a plug in hybrid.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: great fuel economy because of the electric battery

Cons

  • Cargo Space: Not much cargo space due to the battery, but I dont care. If i need more space, the back seats go down.

Gas sipping little car

The C-max Energi is a great car for someone that needs head room and leg room in both the front seat and back.

Pros

  • Cabin Noise: Unbelievably quiet car.
  • Fuel Economy: As stated, I get an average of around 68 MPG.
  • Interior Space: Lots of room for driver and passengers/front and rear seats.

Cons

  • Cargo Space: The hatchback storage area is taken up with the extra battery.

Love my car

I love my car. My husband has the same vehicle. The gas mileage is great and the tax break you get at the end of the year is a huge plus! My only complaint about the vehicle...is that it's the same vehicle my husband has, but for some reason my vehicle runs a lot louder than his. When the electric part runs out or kicks off, it seems like the vehicle struggles to reach speed and if you accelerate it sounds or runs very loud. I do not know if this is normal for this vehicle, but it gets annoying. When the vehicle is fully charged, it runs great and has pretty good pick up when you accelerate. I'm hoping there's nothing internally wrong with the vehicle as this is my primary mode of transportation. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy:

Cons

  • Power: when the electric part is exhausted the vehicle seems to lack power.
