The Fusion is a nice car with all the tech and amenities anyone could ask for. If you're into full on power from the stand-still maybe look elsewhere or to a more expensive model as it's a very average 4 cylinder with just enough power around town, etc. But, if you're looking for a very well designed/engineered, good looking and comfortable reliable car that checks all the boxes, then this is your shining star. The Fusion just does everything right in a well-defined manner. Hard to believe FoMoCo turned their back on sedans and true American style like this car delivers. Nothing fancy but it's really a very fine car.

Pros

Value: Best bang for your buck. Good looking with genuine style the cookie-cutter, look alike, crossovers will never have. Looks good, drives good, plenty of room for most.

Power: If you're needing stop light to stop light power and acceleration, then this isn't for you. It's a mid-size sedan that does everything right...nothing more.

The Ford Fusion is reliable and a car made with great quality. If you compare the Fusion to most top of the line vehicles, you can get the same features in the Ford Fusion. I would recommend getting a 3.5L engine if response time is of importance to you. I would suggest doing research because each model may have a different feature. Lastly, the Ford Fusion offers dual temperature controls. I can have the air on and the passenger can have the heat on. For the money, you are getting a good deal although you may be sacrificing speed or gas mileage (which is important).

Pros

Technology and Entertainment: The car is equipped with a Navigational Screen, Bluetooth, and Microsoft Sync. It's amazing because I'm still learning about the many things that you can do with these features.
Value: A Ford Fusion will allow you to get all of the features and amenities that higher end cars have at a lower cost.

Cons

Fuel Economy: The gas mileage is not that great.
Ride and Handling: The steering is tight. It handles very different than my Acura. It takes some getting used to.

Overall, I like the 2012 Fusion. At times I wish I had opted for the V6, but I am enjoying the added fuel economy of the 4cyl. The ride is comfortable, and I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for cabin noise, the engine noise is a bit annoying and it could be quieter at freeway speeds, and I think Ford could have lessened the noise without much added cost. The leather seats are a little too stiff, but the power seat option offers a great range of movement so if I start getting uncomfortable I am usually able to tweak the seat position enough to ease driving fatigue. This is a great car on the freeway, good passing power and a smooth ride, however I did start feeling some stiffness over a 2 hour road trip, readjusting the seat helped a little.

Pros

Fuel Economy: Going from a bigger V6 took some adjustment, but the added fuel economy of the Fusion 4cyl is worth the loss of power. Still quick and has acceptable acceleration, I can pull out in traffic or get on the freeway comfortably enough.
Technology and Entertainment: So glad I got a Fusion with Ford Sync technology. Handles phone calls, messaging and music by voice activation or through controls on the steering wheel. Phone links automatically upon entry once it has been paired with the vehicle.

Cons

Visibility: This car has terrible blind spots, newer models have wide angle mirrors but this one does not. The traffic warning systems are almost a necessity with this car on the freeway. I will definitely be stopping by an auto parts store to purchase adhesive wide angle mirrors.
Styling: Styling is a bit tired, looks like many other 4 door sedans on the road today. Newer model Fusions are much nicer to look at.
