Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) I love this car--it gets great mileage, particularly in town. We took it on a cross country trip last month with two cats in back, and it also performed beautifully. I love the way it hugs the road, and I love its great sight-lines. Also as a hybrid how quiet it is! It looks great too--just really well designed. Seats are comfortable and roomy, in both front and back. Downsides: it takes wider turns than I'd like, and isn't great on snow--but I am adjusting after 10 years with an all-terrain SUV, so take that with a grain of salt.

Though the Ford C-Max was discontinued in the United States following the release of the 2018 model, used Ford C-Max models still remain a popular choice in the used automotive market. If you are looking for a well-rounded hybrid midsize SUV, purchasing a used Ford C-Max from CarMax is an excellent option to consider.

Reviews for Ford C-Max

Overall Rating

4.8 out of 5 (4 reviews)

Love the 55 mpg we get around town.

Sturdy and well built for a smaller car. It drives like a bigger vehicle and is relatively quiet when driving over 70 mph on the interstate.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: 55.3 mpg around town.
  • Cabin Noise: Quiet
  • Technology and Entertainment: Touch screen that controls everything, could also be a con.

Cons

  • Cargo Space: Very small cargo area.
  • Dashboard: Well laid out with lots of computer screen settings, too many for the wife (or many people I imagine) to learn what they do and how or when to use them.

- Gordon Waite, 2014 Ford C-Max

Great little car

I love this car--it gets great mileage, particularly in town.

Pros

  • Cabin Noise: Sooo quiet and cozy.
  • Braking: Feeds the battery every time you break--and provides coaching on how to do better eco-wise!
  • Fuel Economy: I get almost 50mph in town, which is crazy good.

Cons

  • Ride and Handling: Takes wide turns. But other than that, handles really well.
  • Weather Versatility: Not great in snow
