We looked at many different SUV's, many with almost twice the price and our Flex was the clear winner. We decided on the Limited, AWD, with ecoboost engine and it has not disappointed. We live in the foothills and the Flex never loses power on the steepest of hills, wet, slick, snowy weather, not a problem! Room for kids, dogs, friends and luggage, as well as a comfortable spacious interior. Why the Ford Flex is not the best selling 7 passenger SUV is a mystery to me! Give one a test drive today and you will be sold!

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.633 reviews) This is perfect for families, camping, beach, taking dogs, sports teams, grandparents. It does it all. We've owned 3, and I would buy a 4th. We still own the first '09, the other two were company cars on a lease. My '09 has been the most comfortable and smooth of all the years' models we've owned. the '13 we have now has a much stiffer ride. This '13 will be turned in for a '16. At 75,000 the recycled-air trap door behind the glove compartment has begun to click (found the fix online, easy to do) and the rear passenger door (curbside door that is used all the time) electric lock/door handle is acting up. Those are the only issues I've had in 7 years.

About the Ford Flex

Vehicle Summary

If you are looking for a full-sized SUV but want to avoid the typical body style, the Ford Flex may be the right option for you. This square crossover stands out from the crowd with a bold grille and striking horizontal lines along its doors. Inside, the flat roofline provides an extra inch of headroom in the back row, making it a good option for the family. The standard Flex offers three-row seating for up to seven, but you can find vehicles that have second-row bucket seats that provide added comfort.

The Flex first appeared in 2009 and has had only a single generation update in 2013 that introduced an improved touchscreen menu and a refreshed 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 engine. For drivers seeking a little more excitement, the current and second generation, 2013-2019 Ford Flex also offers the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine available on the all-wheel drive Limited that ups the horsepower to 365 horsepower and increases towing capacity to 4,500 pounds when properly equipped. 1

1Various factors may impact towing capacity, including weight of passengers, cargo, and options/accessories.

Q: How many can a Ford Flex seat?
