About the Ford F150 Limited

Vehicle Summary

A full-size pickup truck like the Ford F150 is a practical choice if you need something with plenty of utility and versatility. And if you're not ready to sacrifice luxurious features in exchange for the brawny performance of this pickup truck, you don't have to with the F150's range-topping Limited trim.

Making its debut in 2013 as part of the F150's 12th generation of production (2009-2014), this trim is generously appointed inside and out. Like most other F150 trims, it's also offered in a wide range of cab configurations and bed lengths to suit your needs. Whether you need seating for three on a regular cab model or require seating for five or six on the extended and crew cab models, there's likely a used F150 Limited out there for you.

Throughout the F150's 12th and 13th (2015-2020) generations, the Limited trim has remained an excellent choice for those who enjoy the finer things in life but still need a rugged truck to accommodate their hauling and towing needs. Offered with a standard V6 engine across most model years, this trim was also available with other powertrain options—including a 5.0L V8, a twin-turbo 3.5L V6, and even a 6.2L V8. And by the 2019 model year, every F150 Limited was upgraded to a turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine as standard.

Available with rear- or four-wheel drive, a used Ford F150 Limited is ready to spoil you with features like 22-inch wheels, leather upholstery, and exclusive styling on its 2016 model.

Returned due to Engine Timing Cover Oil Leak.

I took a chance on this truck knowing Ford has had reliability issues in the past. My brief experience with this truck, before I returned for a refund only, reinforced this concern. The truck, an EcoBoost 3.5L V6 version, was experiencing significant Engine Timing Cover Oil Leak at only around 40k miles. Online searches turned up many others complaining of the same problem. Also, take this for what it's worth but online searches of the EcoBoost 3.5L V6 F150 turned up a lot of complaints of sudden loss of power on highway under acceleration as well which I found to be pretty alarming. I will admit I was impressed with the acceleration but I never did get close to the advertised MPG stated by Ford even when I was driving conservatively.

Amazing Ride

I love this truck! It's a smooth ride and has all the right things. Step to get out of the car because of the height he truck. Rear view camera when I reverse, SYNC, and plenty of leg room for everyone who rides in it! Highly recommend this truck for anyone!

F150 Raptor; Beautiful and tough rolled into one!

All the capabilities of a standard f150 with additional perks that other trucks do not have. Wider wheel base provides stability off road during aggressive turns. The 6.2L engine is plenty of power to get you up to 60...or 80... as quickly as you need to enter the freeway. Interior is unmatched with the two tone leather, hands free functionality, sun roof, sliding rear glass, and more amenities than I need but love having. Very capable off road and an absolute blast to drive. Most miles are highway but the vehicle is very smooth on pavement and surprisingly quiet despite the 35 inch all terrain tire. Very consistent gas mileage averaging about 13+ combined since I bought it.
