The adhesive surrounding the panoramic roof weakens which causes a loud smacking noise with vibrations . The seats offer little lumbar support which causes me pain. Gas could be a little better , I'm getting 18mpg city while friends of mine with similar class vehicle are getting 25-30mpg
This car saved my life!

I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape SEL at the end of December 2016. I spend a lot of time in my car due to my work and my 2013 Elantra was just not cutting it. I have never been so glad to have made a purchase in my life.
I had a front end collision at 55mph, which totaled out my Escape. The accident was bad. It could have easily taken my life. However, thanks to the wonderful safety features of the Ford Escape I was driving, I walked away whole, albeit it bruised, with nary a scratch. The 911 assist did it's job even with very little cell signal. I came home to my family thanks to Ford. We've already picked out the replacement and yes, it is another Escape.
Ford Escape Overview
The Ford Escape is a five-passenger crossover SUV with sleek, modern styling, good handling, decent cargo room and plenty of features. As a mainstay of Ford's lineup since the beginning of the 21st century, it holds its own in a range of SUVs.
Ford Escape History
The Ford Escape was first introduced in 2000. Initially based on pickup trucks, the body was on-frame. It was redesigned in 2007 to be more competitive against newer compact SUVs. This meant taking style cues from its competitors more than integrating anything new under the hood. The most recent version of the Ford Escape ensured that the engine was fully revamped to be more powerful and that the cabin was as feature-rich as the other crossover SUVs.
How It Drives
The Ford Escape is extremely fuel efficient with the four-cylinder engine. The difference in fuel economy between transmissions is negligible, but manual transmissions do typically get slightly more fuel efficient tanks. The interior is comfortable with a quiet cabin.
Used Ford Escape Value
The Ford Escape stands as one of the bestsellers in its class, alongside the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V. The changes over the years have been mostly cosmetic having one upgrade under the hood in recent years. Therefore, performance will be similar across the board with recent Escape vehicles equipped with better features and stronger performance. The Ford Escape stands as one of the bestsellers in its class alongside the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V.
Ford Escape Standard Features
Ford offers the Escape in its base trim, XLT and top-level Limited trim. A 2.5L four-cylinder engine provides base power across all trim levels, though there is an upgraded 3.0L V6 engine for the XLT and Limited trims. Each version comes with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
