Reviews for 2014 Ford Escape
What a Great FORD Product
Of all the cars I have ever owned this vehicle has been absolutely the greatest. It's versatile and powerful. I carry a motorcycle trailer at times and this does the trick with all our gear in the back and driving in the desert. I have to drive back and forth to my son's college in another state so we jump in and pack this vehicle up for comfortable eight hour road trips. This vehicle has been super reliable and with 4 wheel disc brakes -- long lasting. I really enjoy this FORD and would highly recommend it as a family vehicle.
- Braking: quick stopping
- Safety: feels solid
- Reliability: no problems
Good budget car
I would recommend this car to someone who doesn't have a large family (1 or 2 kids at most) and is trying to get a lot for the price. This car way outdoes the non-SE version of the car as far as features and look. Unfortunately the back barely fits my double stroller and not much else, and there is only air in the front, not the back of the car. Otherwise I like the storage in the center console but the glove compartment is a joke and hard to reach. The nice thing about the car is that it does provide much more space than a sedan without being too long of a vehicle.
- Technology and Entertainment: The screen and options are plenty
- Value: Price is low compared to the size, year, SE edition, and gas mileage
- Seat Comfort: Just right. I prefer the fabric seats.. not too cold or hot in winter or summer.
- Cabin Noise: there is a cheap sounding rattle in the front end when the car goes into neutral
- Cargo Space: Cargo space is fine if you don't have strollers, even single strollers are really cramped. "Trunk" area is short in width and length.
I love my car!
The car has pep, lots of bells & whistles and the ride is very comfortable. I'm a short girl & the seat adjusts to fit me perfectly & I love the memory seats. My husband & son can set the seat to fit them before they sit down & bang their knees at my setting. Don't even get me started on the foot activated lift gate! Love love love! There are a couple of things I'd like to have, but I can overlook them. I'd like for it to tell me WHICH tire has low pressure & I miss the hooks that my Cherokee had to hang grocery bags on in the back. This car is so much better though. The down side for me is that EVERYONE has an Escape
