I purchased this exact car (Literally the one in the pics!) and it had transmission problems that we were told is normal. When shifting from 1st to 2nd gear it sometimes felt like we were in a rodeo, as well when coming to a slow stop or accelerating slowing it sounded like someone was kicking an aluminum can. Again we were told this was normal and due to the CVT transmission. I looked into the "problem" and found many others that are having the same issue and that the term "normal" is not correct that it is a known problem with the transmission in the Fiesta, and the Focus. Please research the transmission before purchasing.
I wouldn't recommend this car to a friend because it has had some issues since I have owned it. I am aware that it is a used car but it doesn't drive smooth, it's very jumpy when I accelerate and it also stalls sometimes. There is a grinding noise that I can feel in the gas pedal when I accelerate as well. I have to take it to a mechanic after owning it for 5 months because the engine light came on. There is limited space inside. There is also a door latch recall that Ford has yet to fix. My door wouldn't latch one day so I had to get a bungee cord and attach it to my passenger seat.
I returned the car after 3 weeks. I drove it for 2 weeks, and it was in the shop for 1 week. If you like the way a manual car drives, then you may like this car. However, I wanted an automatic, and got what I thought was an automatic. Ford is putting a Dual-Clutch in the Fiesta cars. This is not openly advertised. This car runs and acts like a manual/straight drive. Hated It!!!!!
