Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.588 reviews) I went from a 2012 Camry to this 2013 Acadia. It works for me since I have 3 small children. With the split-bench 2nd row, my 5-year-old can get in and buckle himself. It's very good if I need extra cargo space with letting part of the 3rd row down. But I don't like the car seat latch for the 3rd row. It's in the middle of the seat, which means I have to rigid my 5-year-old's high-back booster seat. But other than that it works for me, for now!

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4 reviews) I am a family man- have 3 kids. It has the third row option. It seems that all of this model come with a V-6 which the fuel economy is found wanting, however it has the power to get up and moving rather quickly. I have a fwd and no trailer hitch (yet) however, I am sure it will pull a small trailer or U-haul if needed. When the passenger space is not used by my kids, all seats (with the exception of the front passenger seat) can be folded down for cargo. It also features dual Air conditioning. For a family man who isn't ready for the nickname "super-minivan" this crossover isn't a bad option for you.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.25 reviews) My wife and I purchased our first GMC a little earlier this year. Used but it is still new even had the the new car smell inside. Only one other owner which was a car rental service. Everything checked out fine but the no accident or recall reports so we purchased the SUV. However, we experienced some very heavy rain in our area (22days of rain straight). We started getting eater flooding in the hatch back area. It was seeping through! Brand new off the lot not soon after there was leakage! No body could figure out why. I have come to the conclusion that it was water seals on top of the SUV. Did research prior and found out that GMC has a issues with water leakage in various parts of there vehicles. Took a chance anyway & fell victim

I love the middle captain's chairs because it makes the 3rd row easily accessible and it gives the middle row riders more rooms to relax. The leg room can be a little tight if you have a tall driver, but it's not terrible. Love the heated seats!

The captains/bucket seats in the middle row are perfect for rear and front facing car seats and I can store all kiddie must-haves in the space between seats. One thing I was worried about was moving up from a MPV to a SUV but in this car I don't feel like I'm driving anything any bigger. When the third seat is flat I have more than enough room for luggage or groceries, and when it's up I can fit 2 more adults in my car easily

Took it on a 8 hour road trip with me, my husband, and 3 kids and it was very comfortable. The DVD player was a plus, not to mention it has a regular plug in so my husband could plug in the computer and work along the way. So far so good.

About the GMC Acadia Denali

Vehicle Summary

Need seating for your growing family but aren't convinced that a minivan is the way to go? Don't overlook a large crossover SUV like the GMC Acadia. This beefy crossover SUV offers seating for five to eight passengers (depending on the model year you're looking at)—and its top-tier Denali trim boasts some luxurious features that your entire family can enjoy.

The first generation of GMC Acadia debuted in 2007, though the premium Denali trim wasn't introduced until the 2011 model year. During this generation, the Acadia Denali was equipped with a standard 3.6L V6 engine at 288 hp, plus a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. When sold new, this model was also available with all-wheel drive, so you may be able to find a used model that's properly equipped.

Space-wise, the first-generation Acadia Denali boasts 24.1 cubic feet behind its rear row and a whopping 116.1 cubic feet of total storage space with its second and third rows folded down.

By its second generation (2017-2020), the Acadia's size became more compact, and seating configurations for five, six, or seven passengers were offered on the Denali trim. The brawny 3.6L V6 engine from the first generation was revised to put out 310 hp, and all-wheel drive was still optional when this model was sold new. Cargo space is a bit smaller on this generation Acadia Denali, with 12.8 cubic feet behind the rear row and a maximum of 79 cubic feet total. Still, many families will find plenty of space inside this crossover SUV—and you may also find that the more compact size lends itself to easier maneuverability and more precise handling.

Whether you're leaning towards the larger first-generation Acadia Denali or the more compact second-generation Denali model, you'll find a well-appointed and plush cabin in a sleek, stylish package.

Great family car!

Great family car! Plenty of space for the whole family plus gear. Even with the third row up, there is still plenty of room for strollers, backpacks, and any other gear you might need. Most third row vehicles only provide a few inches between the third row and back door. But not the Acadia

Family Perfect

This vehicle has room for (8). It is the perfect family vehicle. My son plays football--he is over 6 feet and 300 lbs--and we needed a vehicle with room for him, family and friends. Plus, we wanted awd, a movie player for our 10 year old and solid navigation for trips. Our vehicle has that and more. It rides like a dream, looks great, is well built, and handles fine in the snow and ice. We are constantly being told how nice our vehicle is by complete strangers. This adds to the fun of ownership. I have been told by several people that the smoothness of the ride is amazing for such a large vehicle. Before purchasing the Acadia/Denali, we test drove a Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes, Buick, Land Cruiser, and a few others. The GMC won.
