Good car but with serious flaws

While the CR-Z was an unique and fun-to-drive subcompact car with good quality, value, practical (for its size and shape), it has some serious flaws. 1) Serious interior engine and road noise (especially at high speed) that makes it intolerable. 2) The car causes significant electromagnetic interference (EMI) causing disruptions in Bluetooth audio connection, which is especially noticeable during hard acceleration and braking (when the electric motor kicks in). 3) the cabin of the car lacked sufficient sound insulation such that it causes echos and poor audio quality to the remote person during phone calls (not on bluetooth), even with the car turned off.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: Good fuel economy; fun to try to drive economically.
  • Reliability: Car has no problems.
  • Braking: Great e-brake and brakes in general.

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: Seriously loud road and engine noise that may cause damage to hearing.
  • Technology and Entertainment: Causes disruptions to Bluetooth connection during braking and hard acceleration.
  • Power: Lack of power, need to push car hard to accelerate, contributing to interior noise.

My favorite car

I've wanted this car since they came out and 2015 is my favorite year. I have the EX model but it has the backup camera in the rearview mirror and not as a touchscreen dash, which is what I wanted. This car is very easy to maneuver and perfect for someone who either doesn't have a family or wants a nice small car (as it is only a 2 seater). The back window is split because of the hatchback's shape and to be honest, it doesn't have the best view but the car is so small that I can easily see behind me from the driver side mirror as well. I believe if you are a decent driver and understand the size ad capability of your car, you should have no issue. The backup camera is fish-eyed so it provides an excellent range of view when backing up.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy:
  • Ride and Handling:
  • Styling:

Cons

  • Visibility:

Purchase Honda CR-Z

It is or was a nice car, but someone decided to cover up a bunch of touch up and paint peeling to make it look good on the lot and now all these imperfections are showing and I will need to dump money into the car to maintain the standard and care I give to my vehicles. This was truly deliberate to hide things.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy:
  • Reliability:
  • Technology and Entertainment:

Cons

  • Ride and Handling:
  • Value:
  • Interior Space:
