The Honda Fit Sport is sufficiently fuel efficient, offers the versatility of driving it in automatic or standard gear, and has excellent storage space yet is compact enough to prevent parallel parking from being too much of a pain. The 2010 model is reasonably priced at most dealers yet still has a great shelf-life given the historical reliability of Honda vehicles (if properly maintained).
Almost great ... but some reservations.

My 2015 Honda Fit LX with CVT tranmission has proven to be a good combination of small size, great gas millage, and typical Honda quality. It is almost a great small car, except for the uncomfortable seats and the small narrow tires which can lead to slipping in the rain/snow.
Honda Fit is compact and efficient, serving as a solid in-between cars kind of car ideal for crowded tight cities/urban areas or a good car for a college student. Smaller gas tank and good fuel efficiency will allow you to save money at the pumps. The Fit has surprisingly generous indoor spacing achieved through multiple seat adjustments and configurations. With 4-D you can also bring folks along for a ride.
