I purchased my 2007 Honda Ridgeline because I wanted a family-friendly truck - a vehicle with a bed for hauling the typical homeowner stuff (yard work materials, furniture, junk/trash, lawn tractor, camping gear, etc) and that had some off-road capabilities (beach sand) but was comfortable and, most importantly, safe for kids. The Ridgeline met those and exceeded those requirements. I must admit, it took a few months to get use to the unibody appearance, but now I'm totally hooked on it. I definitely plan to buy another Ridge when this one has severed its time, which I'm pretty sure will be a good number of years from now.
Having owned many types of suv's pickups full size and mini I have to say that this Honda Ridgeline we purchased from carmax is totally different. First the look is sleek and doesnt look like a pickup. It is comfortable and feels solid like a full size Suv. Drives smooth with all independent suspension not like the rear straight axle on pickups. Talk about storage it has it. My chevy S-10 crew cab was a pain having to unload my tools so could I carry some fill dirt or else put my tools in the back seat area, no can't do that where will my passengers sit. The Honda has storage under the bed enough to hold all my tools. The back seats fold up leaving more room for stuff. The tail gate door folds down or swings out like a door. The seats are comfortable the instrument panel has all kinds of stuff it tells even when to change the oil. Still getting familar with all that it will show me. Willbe heading out for our first camping trip see no problem carrying all our stuff and two dogs.

The midsized Honda Ridgeline is capable of tackling the task of a full size truck. The Ridgeline has plenty of torque and power to manuever in and out of traffic and it's 4WD system has moderate off-road capability. The Ridgeline has the smoothest ride out there of any truck in the market due to it's four wheel independent suspension and it has plenty of space and cargo for a family of five. The Honda Ridgeline is truck enough to tow a 5,000lb trailer but sophisticated enough for city driving.
