A great city motor

I was convinced to buy this car by riding in my friend's. It was right for my price range. I live in the city and make bi-weekly drives an hour away to visit parents/in-laws. This car has EXCELLENT gas mileage. Anywhere from 32-38 mpg, sometimes 40 if i'm doing a lot of highway driving. It's comfortable but it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles and ours, while being made in 2010 has the amenities of a 1993 car, so I'm rolling down windows and adjusting mirrors and locking doors by hand. NBD. I love the hatchback and for being a two door, the back seats are very spacious. GREAT cup holders and stereo. It's a wonder to park and fun to tool around in. In reviews, people sometimes complained about the engine pick up- I drove a VW Jetta before and so I can definitely tell the drop in power, but I get up to 65 no trouble and it handles highway speeds excellently. So unless you're planning an Autobahn trip in the near future, you'll be just fine.

Accent Is a Great Buy

I was originally in the market for a Honda Fit, but a Hyundai Accent came up in my search. After doing some research, I discovered that it is a very close competitor to the Fit, with almost euqal gas mileage and ratings. Comparing test drives, the Accent had more driver and passenger room and equal amenities as far as stereo and interior is concerned. The Accent is not as "stylish" as the Fit, but it is no slouch either. The car has a great appearance, inside and out. The dark blue is especially striking. The main thing - drive. You can feel the road but don't feel too jounced. Shifting is a breeze. Although my model is not a 6-speed, it still has all the get up and go required for ordinary driving. It would be nice to have the sixth gear when out on the open road, but it is not necessary. The main benefit of this car is the ultimate value. I paid much less for the same quality as cars priced much higher (like the Fit). What the Accent does not have in trendy stylings, it makes up for in solid drivability, attractive appearance, and streamlined features. The safety and warranty also can't be beat. Side and front airbags standard, and Hyundai's current warranty beats Honda hands-down. Hyundai has been increasing the quality of their products over the past few years and is definitely worth consideration. I am more than pleased with the value this little car packs. Oh, and one of the best features is that the hatch has a detachable lid inside so that people can't see anything that is kept in the hatch area. In the Fit, this was not available, and people could see through the back window and into anything that happened to be left in the back. It's nice to still feel like I have a kind of trunk. The storage space is quite surprising, especially with the back seats folded completely down.
