About the 2015 Jeep Compass

Vehicle Summary

A compact crossover SUV like the 2015 Jeep Compass may be your best bet if you're looking for a relatively small vehicle with a higher profile and more utility than a traditional sedan. Specifically, the 2015 Compass offers seating for up to five passengers, plus a spacious cargo area behind the rear seats that can store your everyday essentials.

Under the hood, the 2015 Compass is offered with two engine options—one of which was available with all-wheel drive when this crossover was sold new. On the base Sport trim, standard equipment includes fog lights, cruise control, and roof rails for added utility when you need it. Looking for more in the way of creature comforts? The Limited trim includes a touchscreen display, rearview camera, automatic climate control, and exterior chrome accents for an upscale look.

Generation Overview

The 2015 Jeep Compass is part of this crossover SUV's first generation of production. This model saw several changes throughout its first generation's 11 years, including upgraded engine offerings. By 2015 specifically, all-wheel drive became available on all but the two base trims. A navigation system also became optional for the Latitude trim for this model year.

2015 Jeep Compass Engine Options

A 2.0L four-cylinder engine at 158 hp is standard on the front-wheel-drive 2015 Compass. On the base Sport trim, a five-speed manual transmission is also standard, whereas the Latitude trim comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. Compasses that were equipped with the Altitude or High-Altitude sub-trims are instead equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

On the range-topping Limited trim, a 2.4L four-cylinder engine at 172 hp can be found under the hood. A five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission can be found paired to this engine.

Looking for an all-wheel drive Compass? Check out a used 2015 Compass Limited trim, as the Sport and Latitude trims are front-wheel drive only.

Cons
